It drives over 5000 tourist business operators from over 70 countries in the world every year. Exhibitors, buyers, and domestic and international journalists, besides members of the International Advisory Committee and the U.S. Commercial Service.

As main inbound travels trade fair, IPW generates 5,5 billion dollars in future tourism to the USA, thanks to the multiple chances of connection placed at the disposal of the American exhibitors, buyers and press, mostly journalists and travel writers coming from all over the world to discover, record and tell about tourist boards, realities, experiences, products and services.
An incredible and huge teamwork aiming mainly to promote America in the world, favoring the birth of new and successful interactions and collaborations. So, making the United States of America one of the most attractive and visited global destinations.

I’ve had the honor and the pleasure to attend this year’s edition for the first time as a member of the press leaded by the Italian delegation. It took place in Orlando, Florida, from June 4th through 8th , at the Orange County Convention Center, as always organized by the US Travel Association with the support of Brand USA, together with Visit Orlando and Visit Florida.
An extremely formative and exciting experience that allowed me not only to get useful updates as regards the entry procedures into the USA for international travelers (a few days later the covid test requirement for travelers fully vaccinated was eliminated) and get in touch with colleagues coming from all over the world. So, I’ve had the chance to talk with them about the most suitable type of communication and storytelling to keep going on telling in the most effective way about places and locations, tourist services and on the roads in the States during the post pandemic era. But also, and above all, to build closer and important connections with small, average and big USA destinations, in order to continue exploring and deepening my knowledge and competence on the field travelling and looking for more and more detailed and focused itineraries.

And so, for 4 days I’ve traveled again – even though ideally – throughout the States, from New England as far as the big historic towns of the East Coast, from Detroit, Chicago and the fertile plains of the Midwest as far as the Old Deep South, from the Redland of the Southwest as far as California and the Northern Pacific. Till reaching the Great American West, without missing the Natives communities represented by Aianta, in addition to Alaska and Hawaii, Puerto Rico and Us Virgin Islands.
Then ending my trail right in Florida, discovering a definitely unusual Orlando, beyond the theme parks, among art and the exhibition locations, theaters, culture, history and the incredible social interactions of its innovative and interesting Downtown. Read Here a detailed post about it.

IPW ends as usually with a taste of what will be the USA city hosting the following edition, that for IPW 2023 – from May 20th through 24th – will be host in San Antonio, Texas.
A surprising community and land, rich in history, attractions, and different cultural roots.
